From Chaos to Clarity: My Path to the Creative Corner

I turned 30 this year (Leo baby!) and this new era of my life has accompanied a renewed sense of self and an enhanced appreciation for where I’m at, where I’ve been, and where I’m going. In my very first blog post, I gave you all a brief introduction into my life thus far. Today, I’ll be focusing on a future perspective.

In my 20’s I was rash and reckless, impulsive, and I often moved without much thought or planning for the long-term. 29 was, without a doubt, the most chaotic and stressful year of my life; however, it seemed like the day I turned 30 I woke up a completely different version of myself. From that day forward it was like I knew exactly why I was here and what I was put on Earth to do.

This newly discovered sense of self was much needed and highly appreciated, but all the years spent wandering in my 20’s often make me feel like I have lost time to make up for. I now spend every waking moment working tirelessly to stay on top of my responsibilities as a mom, house wife, student, and small business owner. Sometimes, I take on too much, and I know I’m not alone.

It’s important to take time to acknowledge and congratulate yourself on where you are currently and how far you’ve come – even if you’re not exactly where you want to be just yet. All good things take time. Honor the process.

I’m looking forward to 2025, because believe it or not, New Year’s Eve is LESS THAN 2 months away! I swear, time moves five times faster than it did when I was a kid. Anyhow, I’m making BIG PLANS for my future. I want to leave behind an awe-inspiring legacy for my family to inherit.

For one of my short-term goals, I’ll be developing an online platform called the Creative Corner which will host my monthly subscription services. I have many clients residing in other states who do not have the opportunity to come visit Florida. So, I found a way to bring my decorating skills to you!

The Creative Corner will be launched in January, 2025. Once you subscribe, you’ll receive your personalized access code to view the tutorial and box with all the materials required to create the “Wreath of the Month”. I’ve done all the hard work for you! All you have to do is kick back, hit play, and get crafty with me.

Another short-term goal in 2025 will be to consistently improve my online presence. I’m hoping to go live on Facebook every Wednesday at 8:00PM EST for a virtual wreath-making tutorial. The Wednesday night “lives” will not accompany a box – this will be an opportunity to watch me in action, gain inspiration for your own creations, ask questions and learn from me.

For one of my mid-term goals, I hope to host a catalogue of wreaths, garlands, centerpieces, and wreath-making materials on my website. I’d like to eventually launch an e-commerce store where you can get the best deals on the highest quality materials that money can buy.

For my long-term goal, I someday hope to open my own brick-and-mortar holiday home decor storefront in the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg. It brings me great joy to know that I’ll be spreading happiness, creativity, and holiday cheer to the place and people I love the most.

In my brick-and-mortar, I envision my personal handmade wreaths adorning the windows, thousands of rolls of designer ribbons lining the walls, floor-to-ceiling racks of deco mesh, rows upon rows of ornaments, a treasure trove of glittery picks and stems, and a small cafe serving holiday treats and goodies year-round, and a studio in the back for teaching my classes. December Diamonds, Glitterville, Farrisilk, Vickerman, MacKenzie Childs, and Regency International as far as the eye can see!

If you can’t tell, I’m manifesting this one pretty hard, and my visualizations are very specific. I’d like to set up a donation fund for any of my clients who would like to support me in making this dream a reality. The overhead will NOT be cheap, but I believe in myself, and I know if I can dream it, I can do it!
